I am a bit of a prop junkie...Since my very first experience with Iyengar I learned how a simple block or well placed strap can help to deepen a pose and find space in the joints, even for well seasoned yogis. Now that I teach a regular Restorive Yoga class I am ever more seeking out the best blocks, bolsters and straps to help my student melt, release and let go during practice. I often get asked by my students where I get my gadgets from...so here the skinny on my favorite block and bloster...
1. The "light weight foam bolster" by yogitoes... This bolster is firm yet light weight, giving me the support I need for even my deepest restorative poses while still light enough to carry from class to class.

2. The "Urban Block" by Hugger Mugger...This block is made entirely from recycled foam. Its sturdy and stable enough to use as a support under the sacrum but since its made from a solid foam and not wood its lightweight enough to be lifted between the things in bridge pose. Definitely one of my favorite blocks out there!
